okay so i posted this on facebook the other day, but i didn't get the quote quite right, so here it is.
In nursery Ryan was learning about the Sacrament and they taught the kids the the water represented the blood of Jesus.  Well they had snack time shortly after the lesson, Ryan finished his water, raised his cup and said,
"more of Jesus' blood please, more of Jesus' blood please!"

Well I guess he was paying attention to the lesson, right???

SO...i am still in the blahhh mood so we haven't done much and the kids haven't really left the house in days(which is hard on all of us), i woke ry up from his nap today after 3 hours and asked him if he wanted to go outside and play in the sprinklers.  Of course his answer was an immediate "YESSS"

We got already and went out to try our new "Buzz Lightyear" sprinkler and of course i couldn't get it to work properly uuurrggghh!!  I can't even tell you how frustrating it is to have two kids pawing at you to play with something and then spend 10 minutes in the HOT sun trying to get it to work, all in vain-i'm not a thrower but i wanted to chuck this stupid toy to Timbuktu!  i am done buying water toys and bubble toys, they NEVER work, this will be the third one i return this summer!!!
okay now that i have that off my chest, we ended up having a great time with just the plain old hose,
who would have thunk it!!
I was the sprinkler, we all had a great time and ended up playing out there for almost 2 hours and until the kids were chattering(which i'm not quite sure how that happens since it was almost 100 degrees outside and the water coming out of the hose was luke warm)  anyways we had a great time, and they were in bed by 7!!

Caroline auditioning for the sprinkler position

"mom will you please wash off my white bum?"
I don't know what is up with his shorts lately, he must have had a little growth spurt because none of his pants fit him in the waist anymore, they all just slide off!

my favorite pic of the afternoon!

seriously she was so excited that Ryan got out of the pool!!

of course he has a Buzz for the pool!

she couldn't decide if it is worth the effort to climb in or not

It was a good afternoon!
we should do this more often!

The other day we got a TON of rain in a very short period of time-I decided that since the kids were still in their pajamas and it was like umm 4 o'clock why not go play in the mini flash flood on our front porch.
It was coming down fast and hard!!

it make you see how cars can get washed away with very little water!

I am sure there are more words, she is averaging about 3 new words a day.  It's so fun to see her little mind at work.  She is such a happy girl and she has a really deep happy laugh, it  makes me laugh just to hear it.  And of course I might be the only one who understands her but she is definitely talking and seriously babbling,  and is starting to string several words together.
oh and i can't resist that little bum in the air, legs crossed sleeping position.

Happy Birthday Big Boy!!!
(a little late, i've been working on it)
you came into this world bright eyed and ready to go!

you were the best baby EVER!!  Easy going and happy!

Quick to smile!

and then you turned 1.  it went by crazy fast

you were a stinker, and you started to be very busy!

and then you became a big brother!  you have been a good big bro!

shortly after that you turned 2!
this last year has been ALOT of work

as any child you have needed a lot of guidance and  love!
 learning good manners
(he has learned to hold the door open for mommy and wait for everyone to get off the elevator, we are still trying to learn how to share, be kind and not yell at everyone we meet )

how to be a real cowboy

getting up close and personal with the dinosaurs

look at him, he still looks like a baby-not anymore....

picking up some fishing skills from gramps

he might or might not like being naked

discovered the true love of toys-he LOVES his Woody doll

he learned about snow and how much fun can be had in it!

we went on our first(and possibly our last) car trip!!  He was great but his little sister was less then perfect!

he is a fish!

or maybe a tiger....

or a rocketship...

or maybe it is a cow!

it is so sad to look back and see how fast you have grown.

ry you are :smart, strong, rough, loud. sassy, happy, grumpy, playful, imaginative, kind, loves to read, picky eater, loves to go go go, all boy, loving, great talker, busy, outgoing, silly, good big brother, funny, charming, messy, potty trained, great sleeper, swimmer, loves animals, cowboy, dominate, trusting, good listener(most of the time), loves to be outside, talkative, smiley, tough, amazing, carefree, the list could go on and on!

ry we love you so much, and thank Heavenly Father everyday that you are part of our family forever.
you bring so much love and joy into our life along with a lot of learning, growing, and patience.  you are as smart as a whip and amaze me everyday with the things you are able to understand and put into context!  continue to learn and grow, continue to be a happy boy, your sister will be your best friend so treat her the very best you can.
this year has gone by so fast, can you please slow down and  and stop growing, you are my baby always and forever!
