I need to catch up!!

Okay so I haven't really blogged in a while, I think it is the heat, in case you guys aren't watching the news it's like a 108 degrees here!! That's stinking hot, it makes you just want to lie around in your bikini(which isn't a very appealing idea to begin with, but it's THAT hot!!) So needless to stay I've been pretty lazy inside the house, because even walking 100 yards to the pool is just too dang hot, did I mention that it is very hot!! I feel sorry for my 11 month pregnant sister in this heat.
This is Miss Delaney at the fun pool in McKinney which in case you are wondering is just pass Timbuktu about four miles and then you make a left-really it's that far!! The pool was totally worth it though, oh and seeing my family. This pool has a border that's sand for about 15feet and then you gradually walk into the pool. I usually spend the night when I drive all the way out there.
Delaney cracks me up she says the funniest things-yesterday we were just pulling into her house after going out to lunch(she wanted to ride with me)
D-Em, where we going next?
Me- You missy are going to go inside and take a nap!
D- OH, yippee I get to sleep!!
what 2 year old is excited to take a nap??
So my eyebrows were turning into eyebrow not plural just one, and the task was to9 overwhelming to tweeze myself. I was walking around the mall with Shalene and they had a stand for the string tweezing. I decided to give it a try since it looked like my eyebrow was going to inch away. I'm embarrassed but this is the before:
and this is the during, I don't have a picture of the after but OMG!! I look like a whole new person!! The processes took awhile since I had so many hairs to pull. The lady said that if I didn't let the hair get so long it wouldn't hurt so bad or take so long. Note to self do this more often!!!
Ryan is a one man wrecking machine!!! He moves so fast and has an attention span of about 2 seconds, long enough to destroy something then move on to the next thing to destroy!! He has started to take a couple of steps at a time which is exciting and terrifying all at the same time!!!
And the last part of what is kept me from blog is we are going to do this all over again!!! The word infertility obviously makes my body think I better hurry up and have another baby before I have to pay out of pocket for an infertility doctor!! Ryan's going to be a big brother March 4, so I'm nine weeks along and so scared!! It's crazy to think I'm going to have two under 20 months!! We are very excited but a little shell shocked considering I was just at the doctor a month ago trying to get my body under control and he told me I wouldn't be able to do this on my own-well duh!! He meant we'd need to go to infertility. So three days before I found out I was bawling to Jared that we were never going to have any more kids and Ryan was going to be an only child, bla bla bla!! Well I think that was the hormones crying!!! Jared was so sweet and reassuring that at least we had Ryan and he was a happy healthy baby, and in the end it would all work out!! So kind!! Anyways I'm super excited and can't wait to know what we are going to have!!

There's just one I didn't cut apart the piece of paper!!

candy wrapper

I love this new pattern-I found it at the quilt shop before they had even put it on the shelf!!! It was kind of fun to make one since I have backed off the idea for a while.

Can you blow it up?

The other day Ryan playing quietly in his room so I went in to check on him, and I found him trying to blow up his float for the pool!! Babies are so smart how does he already know that he needs to blow air into the valve in order to blow the float up!!!
so as you can see in the background there wasn't total silence before he started trying to blow up the float, just follow the path of destruction-i think he has about a 3 second attention span-long enough to fling everything out of the basket or container and then crawl on over to the next thing to fling, touch, chew, throw, etc. Blow, blow, blow

pool day playgroup

Look at all those kids!!! I've been in charge of playgroup for our ward the last couple of weeks , so we've had a lot of pool time. this is the pool at my apartment which is nice for mom's watching more than one child because it has a really nice shallow end. 16 kids and 7 adults-i think we were out numbered
we took over the pool-luckily it was empty(it's always empty)

The party never ends...

What a fun party, thanks to all of our family and friends for coming to Ryan's first birthday and making it special for us!! We love that all of our family is so close!!
Ryan didn't quite get opening presents yet... The bag was as big an he was...
Playing with grandpa. Thanks to everyone for all the nice gifts, Ryan got a marching band set, basketball hoop, baseball game, several trucks, pj's, gift card, and a play table-you think he might be a boy??
sitting with dad, taking it all in
I got the idea to make a birthday banner from my friend jen-I used fabric and a fabric stiffener called "stiffy" appropriate name I guess...I had a lot of help making this banner, hopefully I will be able to keep track of it for years to come and get some good use out of the hard work!!
This is his ONE shirt I made for him with a fish in a bowl
This is his fish cake I made for him, there was a mommy, daddy and baby fish!!
Playing with his cake-he didn't really like it though!
What fun is a party with out a good swim!
He was out before we even left the driveway of Jared's parents house!!
It's hard to party like a ONE year old!!
Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!

WOW!! I was huge, this was the morning we went in to have Ryan!! Dear Ryan,
What a wonderful day today was!! This was the best day of my life, besides the day I married your dad!! We were so excited to have you as part of our family. The day you were born we went to the hospital at 7 am because the doctor was going to induce you, because you were very comfortable in the little home I made for you. At 8am the doc gave me some drugs to help start labor. Mimi came into town, to be here when you were born and Aunt Katie was here too! Mimi and I played cards until 12pm, when the doctor came in and asked if I wanted my epidural yet, Mimi said I should wait until I felt a little pain!! Well that wish came very quickly, within a couple minutes I was feeling every thing and begging the doctor for the medication. I got the drugs quickly and was feeling much better, so much so that I feel asleep until it was time to push. I pushed a couple of time and then you were a part of the world!! I can't even tell you the joy I felt the moment you were born and to know that you are my baby and will be apart of our family forever!!
This year has been amazing, and I have loved having you as a part of your family!! You have been the best baby!! You have always been a great sleeper, which I am so thankful for every morning!! You are such a happy and joyful baby, always smiling and trying to engage people into your little world. You didn't learn to crawl right away but you figured out your own funny mode of transportation. You love balls, animals, dogs, eating, giving snuggles, blowing kisses, swimming, the bath, Delaney, crawling really fast, bonking, watching other people get hurt(you think this is hysterical),easy to be around, happy, hitting(which we are trying to stop),saying moo, reading books, the list goes on and on!! Ryan you are growing into a wonderful little boy everyday and even though it makes my heart hurt to see my baby grow, I'm so excited to see you grow into little boy and someday a man who will love his family and his Heavenly Father. I pray for you that you will be strong and make the right choice through out your life that will lead you to happiness, joy and peace. Know that your mommy and daddy will always be there for you and so will your Heavenly Father when ever you need his help. I love you with all my heart and your daddy loves you too!!
Love
Mom

It all changes in a blink!!

This picture was taken a year ago today!!! It was the night before I had Ryan!! I can't even tell you how excited and nervous I was to have this wonderful baby boy!! We had prayed, cried, pleaded with our Heavenly Father to give us a baby. It took quite a while for us to get pregnant, but we were overjoyed the day we found out we were finally going to be parents!! That night a year ago I remember thinking if I was really ready for this little baby to come into ours lives, if it would really be as wonderful as everyone said it would be, I was scared!! Well, this year has been the BEST year of my life!!! Ryan is the best thing that has happened to our family!!!

4th of July-FINALLY!!!

This is Ryan's outfit I made him for the 4th the night before!!
The day just caught up with me all of the sudden!! These sparklers were awesome!! They were really long so it was easy to hold on too.
Page and Caisa--Caisa loved the fireworks!!
Gramps, Mimi, Katie, Matt, and Delaney came for Grandpa Kings fireworks show!!
My dad decided that that was a family tradition he will leave to the Kings!
I'm not quite sure how a baby can fall asleep in the middle of a fireworks show, especially when you are sitting about 25yards away from where the fireworks are being lit!
The three babies had matching outfits. My mom sewed the two skirts for the girls and then Katie and I decorated the shirts.
Ryan and Mommy
Ryan and his dad! Fireworks at the Kings house was Jared and I's first date 8 years ago-it's easy to see why I was hooked!! Maybe next year Ryan can help his dad....
I think it's in his blood, because he was never scared and by the end I got him saying oooh oooh oooh~ and then clap and wave bye bye
enjoying the view with auntie Katie!!

Ryan figured out how to ride his rocking horse all by himself!!
Mike and Shalene came out to the Kings house to enjoy the fireworks
Happy girl! She loved the fireworks too!
Before all the festivities
I worked hard and the outfits and thought they turned out pretty darn cute!!
We love the fireworks, and we love the Kings for such a wonderful holiday every year and all of their hard work!!
Thanks you to all of those who serve our country to keep us free!
