it's official!!

well it's official~this little boy can pull himself up on anything~and is starting to take a couple of steps down the sofa~the other night he went around the room trying to figure out what he could pull himself up on~it was so fun to watch the little gears turn in his head trying to figure it all out~

Update!!

So the babies played happily while Shalene and I created a new background for my blog!! I'm so proud of myself, we designed it and put it all together~it was fun and we didn't spend any money that's the best part~shalene is a wiz at photo shop~i think i need it now!
I got really sunburned hence the shirt~i didn't even want to wear a bra but i resisted that urge much to the thanks of everyone else!!

i love being an aunt! i'm so thankful that i'm able to live near delaney(and katie & matt)! every time katie talks about maybe moving away once matt graduates i cry inside~i've love being so close to my sister and her cute little fam~delaney just makes me light up inside~she has the best personality,keeps me laughing, and all excited~i thought maybe once i had my own baby that my love for this little girl would change or dwindle~but that is not the case at all~i think i love her more as i watch her grow and change out of being a baby and becoming a big girl~i bawled the night katie called and told me she was pregnant(they weren't happy tears) i wanted a baby so bad and it just wasn't happening for us~i remember thinking how unfair it was and wondering if katie and i would be close once we moved back~well all fears were put aside once i held this little bundle~i was in love~katie and i have truly become the best of friends since we have both become mom's~i couldn't think of any one else i would want as a sister~i'm so excited that delaney is going to be a big sister~it's a hard job with a lot of unwanted responsibility~but as a reward you get a best friend for the rest of your life~i love you guys~please don't ever leave me i will be lost without you~well if you have to i guess it's okay~but i wont like it~ delaney i love you, you can stay with me anytime~

wHat a fun dAy wItH DelaNeY

today i had DelaNeY all to myself~we had such a nice day
first~nap
second~shopping trip to target to get a special treat~she picked out a colorful ball
third~home to eat~man this little girl can EaT!! she wanted to sit in RyAnS highchair~this was a picture of her first meal. fourth~giving emmy big kisses~i love buggy kisses
fifth~this was her third meal in an hour and a half!! she ate 3 slices of turkey, big handful of grapes, then she wanted a hot dog actually two hot dog~yes this tiny little girl ate two whole hot dogs~but wait she wasn't finish yet
she ate half of my dinner~i didn't think it was a kid friendly meal hence the two hot dogs~ if i had any idea she would eat HalF my curry chicken that was kinda of newborn diaper color with jasmine rice i would have gladly given that to her instead of the TWO hot dogs~when katie dropped her off she kept saying that she was hungry but she had just had lunch with katie, and she told delaney no more food until dinner~well i guess she really was hungry~opps
sixth~rYAn and DelaNeY had a bath together~it's so fun that they both can kind of play together~i think that they will really enjoy each other once ryan gets a little bigger~

you see those legs that are straight up in the air? that's why he isn't crawling~he gets mad if i try to put his legs up under neath him~so army crawl it is~he's gotten WAY better at it in the last couple of days, so maybe he will really learn in the next month or so~

New Trick

New tricks are kinda hard to learn sometimes. Actually they may not be hard to learn but hard to get out of!! The past couple of day I've put Ryan down for a nap, only to ten minutes later hear him SCREAM bloody murder because he is stuck standing up. I know if he is stuck standing by the way he cries. It's frustrating because he has been such an easy baby to put to bed. Now it takes like three or four times before he gives up and goes to sleep. Today though I heard him yell "mamamamama" at the end of his nap so I went in to get him and he was standing up(not crying yippeee for me), he was so excited to see me, big huge smile, and then he got brave and decided to try and clap. Well that didn't work out to well since he doesn't know how to stand...he fell backwards and just starting laughing and clapping. I love you Ryan! Quit taking my picture and help me!!

New OUTFIT!!!

I'm very proud of my new outfit. I got the whole thing for $35(not including the shoes, I already had those) Anyways Jared had a work party tonight, and all of my dresses are so churchy...I wanted something a little more...well... not so churchy. I have a hard time pulling outfits together, but I'm mighty proud of myself on this one. Jared walked in the door and the first thing he said was "wow you look great" so I think it worked, not so churchy.

The pool is open!! Yipee we went swimming yesterday at my friend Barbara's house after a nice walk. Ryan loves to be in the water no matter, it was still a little cold, but he enjoyed every minute.

I noticed a trend once Ryan started to roll around, he loves, loves, loves to rest his feet on things! I'm not sure why he does it, but it happens all the time. Most mornings when I go to get him up for the morning he is resting his feet on his bumper. He will roll over to an area just so he can put his feet up!! What a silly little boy.

Sleepy Saturday

I just can;t pass up the opportunity to take pictures of Jared and Ryan sleeping. Ryan must have been very tired because he NEVER falls asleep when someone is holding him, he loves to sleep in his crib. He fell asleep at 8:30 last night and slept straight through until 11am this morning. Then we went to lunch with a friend and then swam in her pool for a little while. The sun must have just wiped him out. Look at how long he is!! I can't believe how big his is getting so fast(especially with all this sleep!)

***Enrichment***

I just finished this poster for my Enrichment Activity for next month and I'm so excited!! (With help from Shalene-she has a cricut-which I WANT-can I covet that?)We are going to have a PJ"S night, which is prayers, journals and scriptures, with speakers in each category. We don't normally have very good attendance, so I'm hoping by advertising early with a cute poster, some handouts, and a couple of emails maybe we will have more then 15 people show up.

SAM MOON'S

Today Shalene and I went to Sam Moon which is an overwhelmingly large knockoff store, they have thousands of purses, jewelry, and in another store tons of home decor. You walk into the store and all you can see is purses and women looking through piles and piles of handbags to find the "right" Shalene examining several fake Donney and Burke giraffe bags.

Ryan went to his first Ranger game today and loved every minute of it!!! He just took it all in, looked at everything and everyone. He was cheering within just a couple of minutes. Such a big boy sitting in the chair all by himself.

Chowing on a little bit of ice cream. Ryan has figured out the sign for "more" in the last couple of days. I stopped giving him some and he just kept signing more, more and then grunted at me.
Today he figured out how to clap. This pic was mid clap. It's pretty funny though because it's a very lose clap, more floppy then clappy.

Brent got Approved!!!

Brent was FINALLY approved for his cartilage replacement surgery!!!! It is considered an experimental surgery since they harvest the cartilage from a organ donor, then implant into Brent, but it has an extremely high success rate, and it is supposed to give him a much better quality of life over any other surgery available at this time. All of the petitions with Blue Cross failed-they were reviewed by a OBGYN(they know alot about cartilage and knees) and a doctor who went to school in India!!! After all those petitions my parents were able to go to the state of California and try to get the state to approve the surgery on behalf of Blue Cross. We just found out today that he was approved and now put on the donor list for new knee cartilage. He will have to wait for someone to pass away that is his same size. This is sad, but it will drastically improve Brent's quality of life and his life style, and he will be able to do all the things that he loves again, also this means my parents won't have to pay for the surgery which is even better!! I'm so excited for you Brent, congratulations.
