First Trip to the Beach!!

There are people kiteboarding behind us, it was really cool to watch-not quite sure how they don't all get tangled up!
I think Ryan was born to live at the beach-he didn't cry or make a peep once while in the water!!

Ryan loved being outside and in the water, I don't think he made a cry the entire time we were at the beach and we couldn't have pick a better day to spend at the beach.

I went on my first airplane ride on Friday and I was perfect if I do say so myself!! I slept almost the whole way, and when I wasn't asleep I was smiling at the old man sitting next to me! I think my mom was very nervous about my behavior on the plane but I did great!!

Yesterday I went and met my GiGi(grandma Bertha) and the rest of my Grandpa's family for the first time in Laguna Beach. It was a beautiful day and I slept the whole way there and the whole way back!

Today we are going to Carpenteria for a bonfire on the beach and to roast some hot dogs. This will and my first adventure to the beach and I'm kind of excited.

We are truely blessed to have such a happy baby--I've heard stories about both Jared and I!!

We went out to dinner with a bunch of friends and he was a perfect angel!! He doesn't look so happy in this picture but it was right as we were leaving and I thought it was a good pic of me!

Ryan had FOUR shots on Friday we both cried!!! Then he slept all day, which was nice since I haven't been feeling good I got some sleep too!! Ryan weighed 13 lbs 12 oz and is 25-1/2 inches long!!! He is in the 95th percentile for height and 75 for weight and 50th for head size. Looks like he might have gotten my side of the families height!!!

What a wonderful with my best friend Kathy!! we had a blast and went all over the place!! She flew down from Boise to visit Ryan for the first time! We went to Sam Moon's, Dallas, Katelyns house, out to dinner, lunch, and Nordstroms!! I miss her so much, I really wish she lived in Texas, she is just so easy to be a round and we always have a blast.

Yesterday Ryan turned Two Months, and he slept through the night and rolled over for the very first time!! He's just full of wonderful new tricks!

Just an update.

Being a mom is great!! Ryan and I are having so much fun, and he is a great shopping companion. We have our two month appointment next week and I'm sure he weighs at least 12 pounds--he's a big boy, we just moved up to size 2 diapers. We went to the Ft Worth zoo last week with my Family (they were in town for his blessing) but I forgot to take pictures because it was so darn hot!!!! Ryan just wanted to be held the entire time and it was to hot to sleep. We LOVE the pool though, Ryan is great at relaxing in the water, and even doesn't mind going under. Hopefully he will love being outside as much as I do, and he won't have his daddy's fair skin. This week my friend Kathy comes into town and I'm SO excited. She was my saving grace while Jared was in law school and I miss her so much, life's just not the same without ( maybe she'll move to Texas.) The first week in October we are going to California for the first time and I'm so excited to show Ryan off to the rest of my family. Mom already has great plans for us while we are there. Garage Sales, fabric shopping in the fabric district, bonfires on the beach, resting, visiting Gigi, San Francisco, etc. Our fourteen day vacation will give Jared plenty of time at work without guilt. He is working so hard, and comes home at night and just wants to hold the baby. Ryan is sleeping great 5-7 hour stretches, and is just a happy boy boy during the day. Life is great, being a mom is great, being a wife is great. Updates will continue to come as life continues to change.

I had such a fun weekend with my cousin Delaney and she even learned to say my name!! She is really good and sharing with me and tries to take good care of me. She likes to try and put my binkie in my mouth after she has yanked it out.

I'm a happy boy!!

I really enjoy playing on my mat and swinging in my swing listening to the birds. Mom hopes that this outfit will fit me forever, it's her favorite.

What a fun weekend!! Grandpa and Mimi, Uncle Brent and Uncle Scotty came for my blessing! Dad did a great job blessing me, Sunday was a wonderful day. My Uncles are a lot of fun and I can't wait to get to know them better, hopefully they will end up living in Texas once they are done with school and a mission for Uncle Scott. Mom and I get to go see Grandpa and Mimi in a couple weeks in California and I can't wait for my first airplane ride, and to meet the rest of mom's family.
