Sunday morning the kids went out to swim before we got ready for afternoon church.  I think this was like 8:30 in the morning and it was like 90 degrees!  Mimi cut up a watermelon for the kids and they had a little fun with it!

pretending to be puppies of course!!

a little feral

and of course a hat!

So Katie was in town for just a couple days to get a little mommy help with her new GLUTEN FREE lifestyle.  We didn't get to spend too much time together because we were trying to keep things as stress free as possible and let face it my kids are NOT stress free!

We spent the afternoon at the beach pool.  Our children were less then wonderful, spent various lenghts of time in timeout the whole time we were there-i think the only one who escaped time out was Caroline(but that doesn't mean she didn't need it!)
Caroline loves her some watermelon slushy

She is always on her tippy toes!

the fountain turned on right when she  bent over it!
and guess who showed up while we were at the pool......uncle scotty!

Circus Time Again!!!

I love the circus, probably more then the kids do!  I found cheap tickets again this year so we were off!

Mimi was able to meet up with us and she brought along a couple of little friends!

D was so excited and totally into it!  About two minutes in she turned to me and said,"oooh emmy, my mommy would have really liked this.  I need to tell her all about it!"  So sweet

and this little bug loved the "wrigers"  she kept telling me "ooh emmy the wrigers say RROOOAAR!"

the kids couldn't take their eyes off these guys!!  the man up there had a bag over his head!! C.R.A.Z.Y.!!!
we also saw a human cannon ball, which i thought was the coolest eva!

i just want to squeeze them they are just so dang cute!

oh and these guys are pretty yummy too!
i love love love the elephants!!  man did these guys destroy the arena!! There was POOP EVERYWHERE!!!

and the grande finale-WRIGERS!!!

It's so hot even the cows are swimming!!
I have never seen cows just chilln' in the water before!

okay so my kids have plenty of nice green grass to roll around and play in

but most of their time is spent right here
this little patch of dirt in the backyard is their piece of heaven!
i think they might need a sandbox!

and yes another picture of them in their pajama's, but i promise i really do get them dressed.  this was early in the morning before breakfast they went out to play before it got way to hot, i think yesterday was 107 degrees!

8 year old bull rider

These are the junior bull riders!!  I think they were ages 6-12, and man did they ride!!

high flying bull riding

We had a blast last night at the PBR in Weatherford,  now you can relive it with us!
Caroline waving to all the cowboys!

i think this was the best picture of the night.

 the little person rodeo clown!

loved this sequence-we had seats right there on the dirt so the bulls and cowboys would come right up by us.  Caroline kept saying hi to this cowboy, but his adrenaline was pumping and you could see his hands shaking like a leaf.

i asked the man in the back of the picture if he could get Cort to come over and say hi, and the man said if anyone would come over to say hi it would be Cort.  Sure enough a couple minutes later the Cowboy came over and greeted us all-it was so fun to see him in person and get to watch him ride.  He rode the first one but got bucked on the second go round.  I love Amazing Race and really wish they had won.
After he left the man who helped me said that the man we saw on TV is the exact same person in really life.

Calf Scramble
Thank you Steve and Joann for the tickets-we had a fabulous night and the kids REALLY enjoyed, they both lasted the full 2 hours in the 100 degree plus heat and three hours past their bedtime by time we got home.  It was great evening to spend with jared since none of us have seen much of him lately.
