In case you missed the party, now you will feel like you were there!!(lots of pictures)

It was our sweet Caroline's 2nd Birthday, a couple of days ago and we had a blast at her Tea Party!
I set up 3 tables with hats, gloves, clutch, and necklaces-each girl got the whole set, and played with them the whole time!
I made some mini blueberry muffins, tea sandwiches(peanut butter and jelly cut really small with out the crust), chicken salad sandwiches for the adults, and mini chocolate cupcakes.

 The girls all dressed up!

The beautiful fruit kabobs that my mom and Grandma Jari made. The melons are cut into hearts!

 Ladies at lunch!
Sweet little girl and the dress her GiGi bought her! I love it!!

Okay so I love this little sequence of pictures-Caroline kept trying to get really close to Naida , and her mom said, "Naida just let her sit on your lap she is trying to be your friend."  Naida replied,"But mom she is poopy!"  oh yeah I wouldn;t want her sitting on my lap either!!!

So for some reason Caroline DID NOT enjoy having "Happy Birthday" sung to her in any way shape or form, she yelled "NO BIRFDAY, NO BIRFDAY!" and of course covered her ears the entire time!!

 Sneaky little monkey!

I think this might be my favorite picture!!  I haven't gotten a good picture of her since she has become mobile!!  She is SUPER SPEEDY!!
This is a close second for favorite picture!!

She didn't want the presents, she wanted all the bags!!  She is a totally bag girl!!

Wonderful Grandma Jari!!  We love her so much!!

Changes are a brewing,

Okay so life around here is pretty rocky with a 3-1/2 year old and an almost two year old, tantrums are the norm, which is so not my favorite thing!!  I have been wanting a change, but not sure how to go about it, sometimes it is hard to get out of a rut.  Well I was blog hopping the other day and found a wonderful article, and the included talk by Jeffery R Holland, life changing I tell you!!  Well hopefully, life changing usually last about 2 weeks for me, so hopefully life changing lasts a little longer this time!!!

Anyho, yesterday my life changingness got off to a horrible start, and I was the one who ended the day crying! Part of this change is no yelling-I don't want my kids to look back and remember that I yelled all the time.  So I am changing my tune.  My sis and I have made a challenge, 30 days, who ever has the most days with out yelling gets $150-so the rules NO YELLING out of anger, and spend meaningful quality time with each child, that simple.  I already have my money spent(in my head of course), so I NEED TO WIN!

Today was a better day, focus on the good, praise, not make "NO" my first answer, quiet time, and healthy meals.  1 day down 29 more to go....I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!!

So with in hours of getting back from our trip the weather in the DFW area went haywire and we were snowed in for 4 days straight!!  Talk about going koo koo!  We watched alot of movies, built a fort, set up camp in the family room, read books, and played in the tub.
It was so cold, we stayed out for ummm, about 2 minutes, long enough for their tears to freeze to their faces.  We promptly went inside and had some hot chocolate

And since every moment of the day wasn't planned, of course some mischief happened, the kids got into a Costco sized container of Nesquick Chocolate and according to
Ryan, "We made Egypt mom!"
and not to mention a HUGE mess.

" see look mom here are the pyramids and here is the sand storm......"

Apperently I didn't get a good picture of Carolines face, but she was a MESS with a capital M

Lots of baths happened during this time at home, here is one.  I don't typically post bum pictures but they are just so dang cute I couldn't help my self!
and then Ryan had a bright idea, he rubbed his back side all over the paint and then turned to me and said, "Look mom I'm a Baboon!"
Man this kids creativity and quick thinking is going to kill me!!!

and here is the picture of the all the snow from the comfort of my house, I did not go outside if it could be avoided!!

Disney World

This last week Jared and I were able to go on vacation alone for the first time since we have had kids, thanks of course to my wonderful parents who were willing to watch the kids for us!!

Well since I didn't have to carry a bag or purse or anything I decided  that I didn't need to bring my camera(a decision Jared fully supported), it was so nice to not have to worry about anything!  We had a fabulous time-the weather was perfect, NO LINES, and a happy and relaxed husband! PERFECT!!  Jared had never been to any Disney parks, so he was not sharing in my enthusiasm, but by the end of our trip we were trying to make plans to take the kids!

The main reason for the trip was for a wedding, one of our friends from law school was getting married.  While there I feel in love with my husbands ability to carry on a conversation about current events, past events with great knowledge and entertainment.  I so don't have that ability so I was able to stand there and smile and nod and add little comments here are there, it was wonderful.

It was a fabulous trip, that was much needed!

Thank you Mom and Dad for watching the kids, they had a wonderful time!  We really appreciate your willingness, we couldn't have gone without you!

Today we went to JERRY'S WORLD, and if you don't know what I am talking about, boy are you out of the loop!!
This place is CRAZY!!  The TV screens are out of this world!

I didn't bring my kids on this tour, but Delaney came and we had a delightful time, I think she basked in the    1 on 6 attention she received today.

The best part of the tour is that we got to go down on the field! As Ryan would say,"That was AWWWESOME!"  We could have stayed down there all day and just played.

Not to shabby for an old man! : )

 Tackled!!

 Showing them her moves!!

 Scottie holding a press conference

Delaney all suited up and ready to go!
