One of our favorite things every summer is to go camping with Mimi and Gramps.  This trip was GLORIOUS!!  The weather was wonderful, the kids were great, food was awesome, and the water was great!

 

 I might be the only person who buys new clothes for my kids to go camping, but I spent $20 for 4 different outfits and I didn't have to worry but any messes!!

I love to face paint when we go camping, and the kids love it!!

At the marina you could buy a HUGE bag of fish food and fed the thousands of huge catfish, there were so many the ducks were walking across the fishes backs!

 Happy boy!! My kids have Indian feet, I don't think they wore shoes the entire time we were there and never once complained about their feet hurting!  It was kind of comical to watch!

I am so thankful that my parents enjoy creating these types of memories with our kids, and that they encourage and create it!!  This was one of the best camping trips ever, mom and I both didn't want to leave!!

It was amazingly cool enough to have a fire!!  We sat around and told scary stories, the kids ate it up! Ryan asked for like three day after if my story was true! :)

 

 And then it was over!! Until next year Mimi and Gramps, because you will be here next year! :)

A few months ago we went fossil hunting with Jamma Jari and Uncle John.  I wasn't sure what to except, but we had a blast, I might have had more fun then the kids!

 Caroline found this cute little frog.  Once she showed it off to her big brother it didn't stand a chance! Ryan said,"Um mom I think the frog peed in my pocket..." Oh no the frog didn't pee you just squished his guts out in your pocket!! I had to take his pants off in order to get the poor smooshed froggie out of his pocket!

 After our fossil hunt we headedd over to Uncle Johns house, becauseit is better then Disneyland AND they have kittens!!  Caroline was in love with the kitties!!

IT was a great day!!!

We love fishing with Mimi and Gramps becuase it is like ADD fishing, as soon as you drop your hot dog in the water you have a fish!!  I think we set a time limit or maybe it was a count limit.  We both caught 6 in 20 minutes!!  The baiting was the part that took the longest!

 I have never seen this happen before, she was so tired she fell asleep in the car, I carried her into the restaurant and she slept the whole time.  I even had to ask one of the hostess to stand by her while I took Ryan to the restroom.

WOW she is so much bigger already!! They are really starting to enjoy each other!!

I went to go visit this little lady for her sixth birthday!!  It was a fabulous trip and I really enjoyed their new neck of the woods!!

 On my last day Katie and I went and toured Chi town!!  We had a wonderful time and the weather even cleared up a little which was nice!! I was FREEZING!! I didn't bring a jacket, or even warm shoes for that matter!!

 The Bean, it was really cool, and I was glad it stopped raining so we could check it out!

we had a Texas sports filled day a couple months ago when Aunt Kelly and Uncle Bob came into town!

First off was Texas Motor Speedway.  It was way more fun then I expected.  Just Ryan and I met up with everyone.  Gramps even bought Ryan his own little car!!

 I think the highlight was the speedy laps around the track!!  Everyone enjoyed that!!

 Next we headed to Cowboys Stadium, and met up with Jared and Caroline too!!

This is my favorite picture from the day, we bought this ball so they could play on the field with it. Caroline was in love.  She asked me to take this picture and staged it all her self.  She set the ball down and then turned it until the star was showing and then stood right beside it.  IT CRACKED ME UP!!  She slept with that pink football for at least two weeks!

 The best part of the day though was watching Jared kick field goals.  He hadn't kicked a football since high school and was drilling 40yard field goals!!  Dad was SERIOUSLY impressed and so was I!!

This was our first time taking picture in the bluebonnets!  This was by far the best picture of the day!!

This one on the other hand was a little more difficult!!  Their were so many butterflies and that was way more interesting then sitting still looking at the camera and smiling!!

"hey sister let's not look at camera and mom will act like crazy, making funny noises and act like a fool, it will be hilarious!"

"Yes, that sounds like a fabulous idea! We'll see how this takes!"
