This is a tribute to my BOBO!!

I have a little boy who is following in your LARGE foot steps!!  He loves anything cowboys, talks about it all day, bucks himself off his imaginary horse, yells at the bulls, wants me to ride on his back, wants me to buck him off my back, asks to put his cowboy boots on before he is even out of his crib(he would wear them to bed if I let him, he is covered in blistersevne on his calves), puts his blanket on his rocking horse for the saddle blanket, when told that we were going to visit Delaney at her house; his only question was if he could take his boot and hat, takes his ropes with him everywhere too(my measuring tapes), tells people he is a big cowboy and that he has a snake in his boot, does a bucking dance for anyone who will watch or pays us any attention while we are shopping(which is usually anyone who looks our direction becasue he is following behind in all his cowboy glory. Which attracts ALOT of attention, I guess I better start putting on make-up and doing my hair)

Jared has now introduced a new love to the mix, I was sure that he was to young and would not pay attention because it wasn't animated, but I was WRONG(much to my dislike)-Old Yeller!!!  He would watch it all day if I let him!  When brent was little he was IN LOVE with two movies-My Friend Flicka(which Ry would LOVE), and 7 Alone-OH MY GOSH brent loved those two movie and probably wore out the tape on the VHS!  I didn't like those movie then and I still don't like them now, it's kind of like slow tourture-now that I'm thinking about I think we need to go back to our strict no TV, that would solve all my problems....Brent got the movie The Bear, and it was awful, so awful and BORING that the movie just vanished out of thin air-and my parents must have thought it was boring too because they never really pressed as to where the movie was because I'm sure I would have broke and told them that it was in my underwear drawer for over 4 years undisturbed.  Now I will never hide my own childs movie given to him by his father but......

now here are so various cowboy shots over the last couple of weeks-i'm sure people will start to recognize us in the places we frequent because of my little cowboy(target, the museum, costco, hobby lobby just to name a few)
I love you Bobo, and my Ry Guy!!!  My two cowboys!

This is our sweet little Caroline almost a year ago!  I can't believe that it has been a year already, she has been a wonderful addition to our family and we love her with all our hearts!!
Look how tiny she is, I can't believe how teeny tiny she was
   Look at that milk mustache
And now look at her, she is getting so big and so much fun!!  Ryan is trying to play with her more and more!  I have to remind him that she is just a baby, and to be gentle and that he can't ride her-will somebody get that boy a horse already!  She doesn't let him get away with much though, she will screech to let herself be known!  And of course a picture wouldn't be complete without a runny nose!
She is a joy and we love her!  She is on the verge of walking, no signs of talking, but alot of squaking!

i'm officially addicted and my hand is cramping, but i've made four new freezer paper shirts today!! they are so fun! also today caroline peed and pooped in the toilet!! as i have mentioned before she has a habit of pooping in the tub(which is so nasty, and a pain in the butt to clean up), so my mom mentioned to put her on the potty before she goes in the tub. So today i thought why not it's worth a try....and it worked right away. i just held her over the toilet and said go pee pee Caroline, and sure enough she peed i was SHOCKED. then i put her in the tub and she looked like she was going to poop so i picked her up and put her on the potty and again she went right away. i'm hoping to break the pooping in the tub habit before pool season, because that would be very gross. i'm sure it was a fluke but i was pretty excited!

I'm so in love with freezer paper!!!
i made this shirt for Ry for Presidents Day-I love it!! it was so easy it took less then thirty minutes from start to finish. I found the tutorials on www.dana-made-it.com it was SOOOO easy and now my creative juices are flowing.

my not so still model....he thought it was hilarious, and he told me so several times!! I made a cowboy riding a bucking bull shirt too!! I can't wait for him to see it tomorrow.

Valentines Day we carried on a tradition.....a treasure hunt mateys!! I made a pirate map that lead Ryan all over the house, until he finally found this wonderful treasure!

I made Ryan his shirt, and his hook! The sword might not have been a good idea though.....

Yeah, the sword was taken away, sad little pirate!! I guess he is not feeling the love.

This morning Ryan and I went on a date!! Cook's Children's Hospital had a fund raiser surrounding reading. My friend Jessica designed and made this table, and then invited us to join them for the morning! She did a fabulous job and everything looked awesome!! These are the chair covers she made, and Ry loved it! It was nice to spend the morning just with him, and run around and do whatever he wanted. I think his favorite thing was the watermelon-he ate two plates full and loved every moment of it!

This was my other favorite table-Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs-so creative!!

Ry's first concert-he loved dancing with all the other kids.
The author of Skippy John Jones was supposed to be there but because of weather she wasn't able to make it, but all the activities where themed around her books, we even got to take a picture with the cat.
It was a great morning, thank you so much Jessica for thinking of us we had a great time and the table was B.EA.U.T.I.F.U.L.!!

So my friend Alison was asking me the other day if I had food storage, and I replied, "Wellllll, I have a tiny bit." "well what do you have." I laughed and paused to think,"I have a can of flour, a can of sugar, a can of hot chocolate mix...." Alison said,"Hot Chocolate mix, wow Emily that will really save your life, why do you have hot chocolate mix? What are you going to do with an entire can of hot chocolate mix?" I wasn't quite sure and once I said it, it sounded kinda silly to me too! BUT now I can you my friends what you do with a can of hot chocolate- DRINK IT!!

It has been snowing here all day and we have about 7" with no sign of it stopping!! So what do you do when it is snow outside, well I try to avoid it with everything I have. But having a two year old makes that kind of impossible!! So what did we do-we geared up the best we could in our Texas snow clothes(cloth mittens, a winter jacket 2 sizes to big, a pair of pj's, a pair of sweat pants, and a hat!) And why is it that I find my gloves any time of the year except when I actually need them????? So the first thing Ryan said when he came in from playing in the snow,"Mom can we have hot chocolate now?"

Ry also got a real hair cut today, he did pretty good-well who am i kidding he didn't hold sit at all but he ended up with an even haircut, thanks to Grandma it was free!

This is another pic of Caroline at the museum since we have spent SOOO much time there!
and of course i made her shirt-which is an owl with button eyes!!

happy girl!!!

Home away from home..... So I think we have totally gotten our moneys(or grandma and papa's as the case may be) on our museum passes! Ryan and Caroline both really enjoy spending the day there.
I think we have been at least once a week if not more and the staff might soon know us by name, I know they are recognizing Ryan by his face!

Dinner Wars

Ryan and I have been battling over dinner and this was our conversation while Ryan was balling his eyes out.

M:You need to eat your dinner right now, look at your sister, she is eating her dinner!
R: Here, you can give her mine.

I've been worried about Caroline not really having any words yet, but after that comment I think I can handle a silent one for a while longer.

Play, play,play...she is really starting to play with her toys. Look at that concentration

I made Caroline this skirt the other day, and I was trying to take a picture of her but she thought we were playing a game. She would sit there and then crawl after me as fast as she could and then crawl into my lap and bury her head. This is her in attack mode.....

ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK!!!
We went in circles around the family room, she just laughed and laughed, thought it was the funniest thing!

Caroline Crawling

Caroline's funky little crawl!!

Stock Show Time Again
Ry has been asking to go to the Stock Show for over 3 months and the time has finally come!!! He was so excited, he could hardly it stand!! He wanted to wear his cowboy boots and hat, I was so worried about him losing them or his boots falling off, but he did great. We found a warm up arena and all the girls kept coming up to him and letting him pet their horses. The last girl that came up was a blond and Ry blow her a kiss as she rode away-F.L.I.R.T.-but so cute!! He can hardly contain his excitement!!

Pretty happy girl for double ear infection and not even on medication yet.

The kids are still going to bed at 6:30 so this was a VERY late night for them(we didn't get home until 10:45 and they were both awake and happy when we got home), luckily they both took great naps before we left. Our original plan was to go to the Stock Show, look at all the animals then go home and take naps and then go back for the rodeo. But since we moved like a herd of turtles we weren't ready to leave the house until 12, but by then it was nap time so we just stayed home, napped, had an early dinner, then headed out to the Stock Show and Rodeo. The only animals that were there were the FFA baby animals-it was perfect!! We saw a chick hatch out of an egg, baby ducklings going down a water slide and chicks getting on a Ferris wheel and jumping off. We also saw piglets drinking milk from their mama!

Checking out the piglets
Brand new baby chicks
