Pretty happy girl for double ear infection and not even on medication yet.
The kids are still going to bed at 6:30 so this was a VERY late night for them(we didn't get home until 10:45 and they were both awake and happy when we got home), luckily they both took great naps before we left. Our original plan was to go to the Stock Show, look at all the animals then go home and take naps and then go back for the rodeo. But since we moved like a herd of turtles we weren't ready to leave the house until 12, but by then it was nap time so we just stayed home, napped, had an early dinner, then headed out to the Stock Show and Rodeo. The only animals that were there were the FFA baby animals-it was perfect!! We saw a chick hatch out of an egg, baby ducklings going down a water slide and chicks getting on a Ferris wheel and jumping off. We also saw piglets drinking milk from their mama!

Highway robbery...
Today our doctor bill for my two sweets was $70-(that didn't include the $80 for medication for both kids with raging ear infections)We have gone to the circus, Disney on Ice and the rodeo all combined for less then that....and have WAY better memories!! Sometimes being a grown up sucks!! But at least they were both sick(that sounds horrible I know) and I didn't waste the money on nothing....right? I hate going to the doctor and him saying "oh well he just has a cold and now it has to run it's course!"auuugghh!!! Now we can get them feeling better and happy!!! And maybe, just maybe the faucet on both noses will be turned off! I do have to say though for the type of ear infection the doctor says Caroline has she's been pretty dang happy! Thank goodness!!!

Of course he will want to see the elephants, and when he sees the elephant statue it will remind him of the kangaroo's on the other side of the zoo........
So we cross to the other side of the zoo to find the kissing kangaroo. And if you kiss a kangaroo it reminds you that you never want to kiss an alligator, so you have to find the ones that are behind the glass......
When you find the alligator behind the glass, you are thankful that he can't reach you because he might be hungry for lunch, and that gets you thinking lunch??? Maybe we should feed the birds they might be hungry for lunch.......
Once you fed the birds and everyone is full, you think it might be nice to sit down for a little while. Do you know the perfect place to sit down? SO........you go get on the train, and once you get on the train...........................
We went to the zoo today just for a train ride, but once the train ride was over we of course had to see the rest of the zoo. I was so excited because I went with out a diaper bag or a stroller-thus the reason for all old pictures-no diaper bag=no camera! I did tuck a diaper in between me and Carolines baby Bjorn, just in case! The weather was beautiful and we are going to head to the zoo again tomorrow with some friends!!

The best couple of days!
We have had the best couple of days lately(attitude and behavior wise). Yesterday a friend called and invited us to the botanical gardens, and I jumped on the chance because I was feeling really lazy but I knew I needed to get out of the house. So we hurried up and got dressed, packed a simple lunch and were off. It was such a beautiful day and the kids had a blast running around in the fresh air. We were there almost three hours, then we decided since everyone was still so happy and nice that we would head over to the museum! It was such a fun day with friends and so simple!
Then today we headed to the zoo with Mimi(Ry had been asking to see her for a couple of days). We thought the weather was supposed to be beautiful today, but not quite, it was a little cold and windy but that meant the zoo was pretty empty and once you got moving the little chill wasn't too bad. Ryan was so good today, it was so nice and refreshing to have a happy compliant little man. We just strolled along asking lots of questions and taking our time. The most amazing part of it was Ry was totally cheesing it up for the camera! All the pictures are on Mimis camera but I will post them as soon as I get them because they are some of the best ones we've gotten in a while!! Also Caroline was fabulous both days I don't think we heard a peep out of her either day but she was happy to look around, kick her legs and laugh!! She has turned into such an easy baby, it's a blessing! She is happy to go and do whatever is going on, with little to no fuss!!
Hopefully this good behavior trend will continue because it sure makes things alot easier! Sorry for all the bragging but lately I haven't had much to brag about behavior wise so I decided to jump on the chance!

funny things
The other day Ryan grabed a ball of yarn and held it over his head and said, "Look mom it's the Milkyway!"
Don't ask me where he comes up with it but he keeps us on our toes!!
