Okay so maybe I'm a mean mom to just sit there a record my struggling baby, but I would like him to be able to figure his way out of problems without me always right there to help~also he was extremly tired and went directly dwon for a nap without a peep!
Ryan loved this Kazoo! Jared bought it for him a couple of months ago and I thought he'll never figure that out-at least not anytime soon. Well he figured it out all right~i just showed him a couple of times and off him went. I think gramps really appreceated this new found talent, especially in the car!
These are our friends Mike and Shelia! Shelia went to law school with Jared in Spokane, and then her husband was in a specialized pediatric dental program here in Dallas. It was awesome because we all had built in friends once we moved! Well they are about to move again and I'm so sad, because we wont be able to see them for quite awhile-Tokyo is a little out of the way, but who knows maybe we'll find really cheap flights or something....We are really going to miss you guys, and hope you have a blast in your new country!!
This is McKayla-my best friend Alison's little girl~I made her this very girly tutu~Alison was unsure but McKayla LOVED it! She said that it was the first thing McKayla asked for when they got out of the car when their trip was over~A girls got to have her TUTU!
This is Cooper, Alison and Cory's newest addition! He was such a happy baby and so cute too boot!
I was so thankful that Alison and Cory took the time out of their trip to stop and visit for several hours!! Thank you guys so much I really enjoyed hanging out for a little while and getting to meet your little guy!
This is Trevor, Jessie's little boy! Jessie and Katie were good friends growing up! Jessie's husband was working in Oklahoma so she drove down to spent a couple days. It's so fun to see everyone all grownup and with kids of their own!!!
this is a sampling of all of ryans current moves. He is funny because he will get where he wants to be then lay on his back, spin around then sit up. He's silly boy and I love watching him grow and learn.
Ryan loves to swim!! He will jump off the wall by himself, but we had already been swimming for two hours so I think he was a little tired

This is Ryan really crawling for the first time!! Okay so at least one good thing happened yesterday! I should have gotten back in bed and slept the whole day though because yesterday was a terrible horrible no good very bad day!! First I went to the gym(which in it's self was fine) and Ryan pooped in the middle of my workout, they came and got me and said that he really stunk-YES!! Then he cried and whined the rest of the day. I drove with Shalene to IKEA which is about an hour from my house, Ryan decide that he didn't want to take a nap on our nice long drive except the last five minutes!! LOVELY! Then we go to leave(not on time) and got stuck in traffic for two hours with a baby who doesn't want to nap! GREAT! Wow we were having a great time! I get home, still no nap but lots of crying. So he gets some alone time in his crib while I go cry too! So this is the problem that comes with having a totally happy baby, I now can't hack one day of crying and typical fussiness that normally comes with babies. I know that no one feels sorry for me, but was unbearable. But wait it gets worse I promise....I decided it would be better to take him to Jared's soccer game, then listen to him cry in the house...boy was I wrong. I just pulled into the parking lot of the soccer fields and Ryan begins to puke, and not just baby spit up but, full on adult throw up!! OH MY GOSH I don't wish a baby puking in a car seat on my worse enemy!! It took me over an hour to clean up his car seat once we got home, I don't know how a baby so small can make such a big huge mess. First of all the smell, of yogurt the second time wahhuuueee!!!! not to mention the fully rehydrated raisins...well you get the picture it was BAD! Jared came and helped me get his clothes off and clean him up, which was no small feat. I decided since we were all ready there we might as well watch the game. Ryan was our white trash baby cruising around in his pampers and shoes( don't ask me why he still had his shoes on, well maybe because it was the only thing left that wasn't covered in vomit.) This is how Ryan learned how to crawl on his knees in instead of dragging his dead wait legs behind him. Wow what a fun day we had, I bet your jealous!!
ryan was in love~every stall we walked up to he said"dog, dog"~we had to go to the dog area twice~i think that lady thought she had a sure sell~good thing i forgot my checkbook~
i'm still resisting the urge to go back and buy this little shorkie~i want him~so today ryan and i went to the grocery store~while walking through the store i talk to ryan telling him what we are going to make for dinner and what we are going to buy. i pick up a watermelon(he LOVES watermelon)
me: ryan do you want to have some watermelon?
ryan: ball?
me: no, watermelon
ryan: BALL!!!
he cries while i put it in the back of the cart and not in his lap....
me: let's get an avocado
ryan: ball?
me: no, avocado
ryan: ball, ball, ball
again more protest because i won't give him the avocado to chuck out of the cart at some point during the shopping trip.
me: here how about we get some milk?
ryan: mamama ba ba ball!!!
then we walked down the aisle with the balls and he about did a head dive out of the cart while buckled to grab a real ball~think this little boy wanted a ball? someone get him a ball!
it is so fun that he is starting to talk and sign!! being able to sign is amazing, he can let us know what he wants and if he wants more~ the words that he is saying are: mama,dada, baba,uck(duck),og(dog),ook(book), ball, he smacks his lips to eat, and he signs "more" and "all done " we are working on please and thank you~ryan is also cutting a tooth on the top~for some reason he hasn't ever had separation anxiety and will go to ANYONE ~ when walking past people in the store he smiles, wrinkles up his nose, and holds out his arms and yells at them~we are definitely going to have the stranger danger talk with him when he is a little older~we are so blessed to have such a happy, friendly baby and we have loved having him in our family~we are so excited to see him grow and change over the next year!
he has started yelling at me(which is not a nice feature of a otherwise nice baby!)

We went to the Cracker Barrel Saturday morning with Jareds parents, and Ryan and I were walking around the little store and I found this possum!! I thought it was the funniest stuffed animal I had ever seen!! Jareds dad bought it for Ryan and he LoVEs it, he even says p p p. It cracks me up!!
canton is the first monday of the month~shalene and i got up at 6:30am and drove the hour and half drive, past dallas to go to this crazy place~if you haven't been it's the craziest place ever, it's like flea market, garage sale, craft fair, bazaar, pet shop, all in one place!! people go crazy for this place, there are women walking around in groups with all kinds of canton shirts~this ladys shirt says "what happens at canton stays at canton" she didn't know i was taking her picture~she not the best example, some women get all dressed up in Texas style to come shopping here~my mom and sister also met up with us and we all walked around together and shopped~it's so fun that we are all so close by that we can met up together and do something fun~
are children were perfect this day~we couldn't have asked for happier babies~this was the end of our shopping extravaganza~we were hot and sweaty, and my legs were tired~
these are the barns~there are tons of these things full of cool stuff and full of CRAP!
i think these carts are a requirement~all the women had these to carry their "treasures" around in for the day~some people really get into their cart and really decorate them with cute fabric and accessories~
i decorated my front table with all the cute things i found in canton~it's fun searching for the "right" thing~ my best find was 2yards of fabric for $5 it matches the rest of the fabric that i have in my family room~i'm not sure what i'm going to do with it, but it was cheap!!! i like my little 4th of july theme table and think it came together nicely~
