Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!

WOW!! I was huge, this was the morning we went in to have Ryan!! Dear Ryan,
What a wonderful day today was!! This was the best day of my life, besides the day I married your dad!! We were so excited to have you as part of our family. The day you were born we went to the hospital at 7 am because the doctor was going to induce you, because you were very comfortable in the little home I made for you. At 8am the doc gave me some drugs to help start labor. Mimi came into town, to be here when you were born and Aunt Katie was here too! Mimi and I played cards until 12pm, when the doctor came in and asked if I wanted my epidural yet, Mimi said I should wait until I felt a little pain!! Well that wish came very quickly, within a couple minutes I was feeling every thing and begging the doctor for the medication. I got the drugs quickly and was feeling much better, so much so that I feel asleep until it was time to push. I pushed a couple of time and then you were a part of the world!! I can't even tell you the joy I felt the moment you were born and to know that you are my baby and will be apart of our family forever!!
This year has been amazing, and I have loved having you as a part of your family!! You have been the best baby!! You have always been a great sleeper, which I am so thankful for every morning!! You are such a happy and joyful baby, always smiling and trying to engage people into your little world. You didn't learn to crawl right away but you figured out your own funny mode of transportation. You love balls, animals, dogs, eating, giving snuggles, blowing kisses, swimming, the bath, Delaney, crawling really fast, bonking, watching other people get hurt(you think this is hysterical),easy to be around, happy, hitting(which we are trying to stop),saying moo, reading books, the list goes on and on!! Ryan you are growing into a wonderful little boy everyday and even though it makes my heart hurt to see my baby grow, I'm so excited to see you grow into little boy and someday a man who will love his family and his Heavenly Father. I pray for you that you will be strong and make the right choice through out your life that will lead you to happiness, joy and peace. Know that your mommy and daddy will always be there for you and so will your Heavenly Father when ever you need his help. I love you with all my heart and your daddy loves you too!!
Love
Mom

It all changes in a blink!!

This picture was taken a year ago today!!! It was the night before I had Ryan!! I can't even tell you how excited and nervous I was to have this wonderful baby boy!! We had prayed, cried, pleaded with our Heavenly Father to give us a baby. It took quite a while for us to get pregnant, but we were overjoyed the day we found out we were finally going to be parents!! That night a year ago I remember thinking if I was really ready for this little baby to come into ours lives, if it would really be as wonderful as everyone said it would be, I was scared!! Well, this year has been the BEST year of my life!!! Ryan is the best thing that has happened to our family!!!

4th of July-FINALLY!!!

This is Ryan's outfit I made him for the 4th the night before!!
The day just caught up with me all of the sudden!! These sparklers were awesome!! They were really long so it was easy to hold on too.
Page and Caisa--Caisa loved the fireworks!!
Gramps, Mimi, Katie, Matt, and Delaney came for Grandpa Kings fireworks show!!
My dad decided that that was a family tradition he will leave to the Kings!
I'm not quite sure how a baby can fall asleep in the middle of a fireworks show, especially when you are sitting about 25yards away from where the fireworks are being lit!
The three babies had matching outfits. My mom sewed the two skirts for the girls and then Katie and I decorated the shirts.
Ryan and Mommy
Ryan and his dad! Fireworks at the Kings house was Jared and I's first date 8 years ago-it's easy to see why I was hooked!! Maybe next year Ryan can help his dad....
I think it's in his blood, because he was never scared and by the end I got him saying oooh oooh oooh~ and then clap and wave bye bye
enjoying the view with auntie Katie!!

Ryan figured out how to ride his rocking horse all by himself!!
Mike and Shalene came out to the Kings house to enjoy the fireworks
Happy girl! She loved the fireworks too!
Before all the festivities
I worked hard and the outfits and thought they turned out pretty darn cute!!
We love the fireworks, and we love the Kings for such a wonderful holiday every year and all of their hard work!!
Thanks you to all of those who serve our country to keep us free!

Red letter day

First off we went to Babe's Fried Chicken today-they don't have a menu all there is is fried chicken-it's REALLY good, the skin is the best part and I don't usually like the skin at all. Ryan really like it too-I got him to eat some mashed potatoes which surprisingly is no small feat.
it's in kind of cool old building and they do the hokey pokey- there was a blonde girl doing the hokey pokey and Ryan couldn't take his eyes off her- I think it is so funny because he just loves blondes, he will see a bunch of girls at the pool and crawl right over to the blonde-why is that?
King family Tradition-you can't be a King if you don't like fireworks!! Ryan got his first taste of fireworks today as we went with Grandpa King to buy our 4th July show- When I say show I mean show-the fire works are synchronized to music and the whole works with a big finale at the end. Jared and I's first date was to his families fireworks display.
look at all the selection-where do we start grandpa

look at how excited he is, it must be in his blood!! this is just the small stuff
having a little heart to heart with grandpa about which fireworks to buy-only the big one's grandpa only the big ones!!

Another Custom Crib Set

This is my third custom crib set that I have made! This one I made for my friend Sheila who is moving to Japan next week. My mom came and helped one day while Shalene watched Ryan and then I stayed up two nights until 3 in the morning.

Waxing

Yesterday my mom asked me to wax her eyebrows because she can on longer see them without her glasses on, but can't wax with her glasses on, ahh, getting old really does have some down falls. She lays her pretty head on my lap and I carefully dip the wand in the hot wax and spread across her woolly brow. I do both sides and am finishing up on the end when a big blob of wax drips into her hair! YIKES! I start laughing because I couldn't think of anything better to do, then I grabed the hair and tried to wipe it out but that didn't do anyone any good because that just spread the wax into more places. Now my mom has thin hair and needs all the help she can get, so my little mistake isn't helping anyone considering we had to cut out a chunk of hair because the wax was not coming out. Well she didn't learn from the first mistake and thought she needed a little more off one side, so again I dip my little magic wand and begin to apply to the bottom of her eye lid, this time the drip falls onto her eyelashes~OH MY GOSH~I toss my not so magical wand aside ie. into the other side of her hair because I freaked out and didn't know what to do, then I started laughing so hard I cried, but mostly out of fear that my mom was going to be bald, eyebrow less, and have no eyelashes. At this point in time I seriously fought the urge to get my camera and take a pic because that would be disrespectful. After we (I) regained control-I don't think my mom was laughing as hard as I was, partly becasue her eye was waxed shut and she couldn't have cried if she wanted to.-we decided that maybe olive oil might save the eyelashes-cutting the eyelashes was not an option for my mom. The olive oil worked like a charm and we only lost two lashes in the devastation. We all learned a lesson-
