Best Deal Ever!!

Last week my aunt Laur sent us an email saying that Disney on Ice was in town and we could get tickets for $7.50 each!! What a deal, so Katie, mom and I all bought itckets. Now I would never search this out on my own, but since it was brought to my attention we jumped on the chance. Delaney was VERY excited and woke up at 6:45am to go to Disney on Ice!! D was so cute in her Minnie costume!
Well we got there for the 10:30am and it was pretty empty-Mom and I went to our assigned seats in the nose bleed($7.50), but Katie wasn't there so mom called her and she said she was up in the front!! She is way more gutsy then mom and I, so we sheepishly went up to the front. We sat in seats 5 rows from the front-if we were really brave we could have sat in the front row, but we didn't want to block the view for the people that paid $75. It was the best deal ever and good entertainment for $7.50-I didn't even have to pay for Ryan so it was perfect.

Totally enthralled

Ryan loved the first couple of acts, Lion King(his favorite) and Little Mermaid

This was the Little Mermaid, I liked this one the best, there were tons of bubbles from the ceiling and the costumes were pretty cool.

Peter Pan was pretty neat too, they did a lot of flying around and there was a big Croc.
It was a fun afternoon and I think everyone enjoyed it!

Today she did this:So I was able to do this:
(that's a picture of a clean room, refer to picture below)
and this:

And this:

It was amazing what I can get done when I have no distractions! Yeah for a clean house
(I didn't quite have time to get to the kitchen-that will be the goal for tomorrow, I did get ALL the laundry done and put away!)

She's happy too!!

One little baby who wants to be held ALL the time(I'm typing this with her in my arms) equals my house looking like this: Ryan and Caroline's Room-Disaster!

Piles and piles of pink laundry

Messy messy kitchen(well at least I've been trying to cook dinner every night)

And clean clothes all over the floor that never got put away!

Jared has been very busy at work trying to get things going, so that leaves me with little time of uninterrupted cleaning time, thus my house looks like a pig sty! Oh well some day it will be clean. Wheres my friend Kathy when I need her, she would whip me in to shape! She loves cleaning, and organizing, it was the best!

Worth every penny!

These toys are totally worth every penny- Ry LOVES all of these animals, I could throw away almost every other toy and he would be totally happy all day. Target sells the Schleich brand, they are so sturdy, I think we will have these toys until we have grandchildren.

Life with a new baby...

Church was less then lovely, 1'o'clock church is cruel and unusual punishment since it is right in the middle of nap time- Ryan was a wreck before we even left for church, so I had an idea that it wasn't going to be any fun. Before the opening song Jared took Carolines car seat out to the car, Ryan started to FREAK OUT! I handed Caroline to a grandma and Ryan started to FLIP OUT and scream, "NO MY BABY, MINE, NO, NO, NO, MINE, BABY!!"as he is squirming in my arms. Oh my gosh I wanted to die, I'm glad her is protective of his sister, but seriously in the middle of church. The rest of sacrament Jared sat out in the hall with Ryan on his lap while he screamed, because he wanted down to play. Once nursery time came along he was perfectly happy and had a great time. Ryan took a 3 hour nap once we got home!
Ryan is really starting to love his baby sister, and even though this picture doesn't look like it he is really quite gentle and loving.

I LOVE the but up in the air when they sleep!!
So life with a new baby has caught up with me, and the baby high is over. Now don't get me wrong I love her and she is wonderful, but I forgot how much work a new baby truely is, along with a almost two year old tornado. Caroline wants ME and only me to hold her ALL the time!! Also she has had a little bit of a pooping problem, she hasn't been able to go in like 7 days-which makes for a very unhappy baby, I never thought I would worry so much about poop happening or not happening or go through so much to make "IT" happen. We tried glycerin suppositories, glycerin enema, my finger trying to figure out if there was a blockage, apple juice, and finally Miralax. Yesterday we finally had "blast off"!! She was much happier and able to sleep better today so that is nice. I just forgot how much babies cry, or maybe Ryan didn't cry this much, I don't remember.

Smile, Frown and Yawn

Look at those eyes open wide! Grouchy face! This little girl takes sleeping very seriously-when she is asleep!

All smiles! She kept closing her eyes everytime because of the flash.

Big yawn

So coy!

RUN! RUN! RUN!!!!

Friday was very cold and rainy, so we needed to figure out a FREE and fun way to run off some energy--boy did we find the best way ever, we went to Jump For Fun in Southlake. Katelyn's in-laws own the bounce house filled party center, so it was a great free fun afternoon. Ryan LOVED every minute of it and didn't stop until he hit his car seat.
He loved this slide because of the elephant. These slides even made my stomach go up into my throat! Good thing I feel good because this was more then any gym workout I've done in a LONG time. I had to carry him up to the top because he couldn't figure out how to climb(which is just fine with me, he already knows how to climb one to many things!)
Of course he loved Elmo!!

Getting off the slide all by himself!! He laughed, ran, climbed and slid for a solid two hours and never stopped!!

Five minutes into our car ride home!! I call that day a success!!

Chubby bubby

Caroline had her two week check up the other day- She weighs 8lbs 5oz. 50th percentile for weight(she gained 18oz. in the last 12 days!!), 40th for height, and 25th for head size. She is a good little eater, and LOVES to sleep!! She's been sleeping from about 10pm to 4 or 5-that makes for a very happy mama! She is a very mellow baby and seems pretty happy when she is awake.

Lion King

The other day Ryan was watching the Lion King(surprise, surprise), and left the room and came back with all his Lion King animals(white tiger isn't in Lion King but..) I thought it was pretty cute that he understood that those animals belonged with that movie. It's fun to see those little wheels turning.

It's one of those days....

Well the day started off with a little climb--nothing like climbing your changing table to get the blood flowing!
Ryan learned how to climb his changing table the day after Caroline came home from the hospital!! It used to be that if he was quiet in his room, he was reading books; now it means he is sitting on his changing table eat lotion and pulling out ALL of the diaper wipes! LOVELY!
Then how about a dip in the pool(tub) fully clothed!!
Then this evening I gave Caroline a bath, and took her into her room to put her diaper on and in the time I walked from one room to the other Ryan figured out how to climb into the tub!! WONDERFUL!!

And we ended the day with a little destruction!!
Last of all of he pulled down his entire toy storage and thought it was great fun!

Luckily the day ended on a sweet note-Ryan is being very kind to his sister and showing more interest in her. Today he even came and told me she was crying and brought me her binkie!!

Ryan has been a very sweet boy but very destructive and BUSY!! I go from moment to moment cleaning up after him and distracting him from one thing or the other!!!

My recovery

Okay the recovery from this pregnancy has been wonderful!! I have lost all my weight, nothing is in the right spot still-bread dough tummy!! I still want to lose another 20 pounds, but that will come in time. I did have to order my nursing bra online since my size doesn't even exsist-WAY annoying, not how I wanted to spend $75 on one thing. Whoever said big boobs were great never had to nurse a baby!! Caroline is sleeping great most nights and that makes for a VERY happy mom. We are trying to get out everyday and do something entertaining for Ryan since he is trapped in our tiny apartment all day. I know I said I was scared but things haven't been too bad as long as I get to bed early, ans don't get sucked into the TV. Jared is going out of town this week, so I'll be on my own-but I'm going to go hang out with my family in Dallas.

Ryan's Day Out!!

Today was Ryan's day out!!
He's been having a hard time dealing with the change in our house, and being stuck at home all day. Today we got out and did something he enjoyed. We were going to go to the zoo but it was Home School day and the zoo was PACKED!! It was a beautiful day, suuny and 85 degrees-the PERFECT day!! Right next to the zoo is the Trinity Train which goes on a big 40 minute loop through Trinity park in downtown Fort Worth. Ryan LOVED every minute of the train ride and sat nicely in his seat the whole time. I think the smile explains it all. These are the best pictures I have gotten of my little busy body in a long time. It is so nice to see that smile of pure joy and excitement!! Looking at the turtles sunbathing in the river.

Caroline slept through the whole adventure with Mimi holding her in the car in front of us.
Big boy in front of the train.

I love that smile, he was so excited, and asked for more once the train stopped. He enjoyed the day out so much he took a four and half hour nap!! More outing's here we come!!

Grandma Jo

Grandma Jo got sick right after Caroline was born, and so this was her first time seeing her since the hospital!! It was so nice to have her come by and spend time with Caroline.

Our first day out!!!

Today was our first day out!! I was very scared, and called my mom for a little pep talk. Well our outing started with a trip to the bank. Caroline didn't make a peep and Ryan sat in a chair and ate a cookie. It couldn't have gone any smoother, they were both perfect!!
Then we went to Chick Fila-again they were both perfect!! Caroline slept through the whole thing, I don't think she even cracked an eye lid.
The last stop was Babies 'R' Us, again as smooth as can be, I was so glad to see that it all went so smoothly. I'm sure that all outings won't go this smoothly, but there is a little at the end of the tunnel.
When we walked in the door Ryan was asleep before I even had a chance to sit down on the sofa. Caroline was asleep(oh wait she never woke up) as soon as I got her in the swing, and I was asleep before I laid my head down on the sofa. It takes alot of energy to cart two kids around. This is Caroline all dressed up in her cute car seat that my mom and I made. She was an angel today.
