New shoes

Ryan has had issues with his balance and always falling, so I found these Robees at Ross for $8.99!! I was so excited I bought two pairs!! He only fell twice at the Botanical Gardens, which is definately a record for Ryan!! Running,running, running he never stops!!

Here is the finished product for Caroline's crib!! I'm so happy with the way it turned out and how well it goes with Ryan's crib(Ihave two of the same cribs) Thank you mom and Katie for making the bumper-I LOVE IT!!!

KATIE I LOVE YOU

My little sister has had a terrible horrible no good very bad year so far!!! I just want Katie to know how much I love her, and how thankful I am that she lives near by. She is my best friend and I'm so glad I have her for a sister. She is truly the best mom and I look up to her and strive to be a better mom because of her wonderful example. Ryan loves his Katie and really enjoys spending time with her and her wonderful little family.



Katie's family have had some time consuming medical problems, and she rarely complains, I complain WAY more and about way more minor issues. I know she is trying hard and worries about the future, but if anyone can be happy and do a fabulous job of it, its Katie. I know you need a little pick me up so I hope this helps! I love you Katelyn!

10. She doesn't scream ALL day any more.
9. She gets to wear ALL of her cute outfits because she goes through about 5 outfits a day.

8. I only need to change her diaper about 3 times a day because she rarely poops(which the doctor said was just fine)
7. I never have to worry about her breathing at night because she sleeps very loudly.

Caroline is starting to become a really baby!! She is pretty serious most of the time, but these are the few tiny smiles I was able to get out of her the other day.

Ryan needs to remember to just smell the flowers sometimes and relax!! :)

I Love this little outfit his Grandma Jo got for him and have been thankful for the couple of days of cool weather so he has a chance to wear it before he out grows it, I'm not sure it will fit him in the fall.

Good bye dear friend, you have kept me happy, quite, asleep, soothed, calm, did I mention quite. I'm a big boy now and don't need my binkie or minky as I like to call it. The minky fairy brought me a present after my nap today without a sippy cup or minkey, I woke up and remembered that I had a present waiting for me, oh and I was VERY thirsty!

I (emily) was truly DREADING this day, BUT it has gone surprisingly easy!! He didn't ask for his "minkey" all day, even with Caroline sucking on one. We went this morning and picked out some presents to say good bye to our dear friend. The sippy cup seems to be no problem, he just woke up this morning yelling for a drink, MILK, WATER, MILK, WATER!! I decided to take the cup away to see if his ear infections go away, so I did it in one fell swoop, binkie and cup. So far so good, Ry cried for about 10 minutes and then was out!! Yippee!

Finally a Family Picture!!

Today we took family photos in our Easter clothes. I've had Ryan's little suit since before he was born and have been waiting for Easter ever since. Jared thinks Caroline's flower is ridiculous, but I think it is fabulous! It's no secret that Jared hates photo's but he put on his big girl panties and dealt with it, and very quickly we got some great photos! I can't wait until Caroline's blessing to get some more family pic's! ; ) These are just a couple of the keepers....
Ryan was is a great mood...for the first five minutes, then he wanted to R.U.N. I'm so glad he didn't get any grass stains on his outfit for church tomorrow!

Good Friday does not equal Good Zoo Day!!!

Well the hair cut started off all smiles..... Then came a little whining.....

Then the wailing and gnashing of teeth.....

And last of all the full on screaming....the M&M's weren't working

Shalene did a great job on a moving object, and he now looks like such a big boy!!

While he was screaming(because I was holding his head still)I wondered if he had an ear infection? Well today I took Caroline to the doctor for congestion(doctor said she was fine) I asked if he would look in Ryan's ears, sure enough he has a double ear infection AGAIN!! A two for one!, I'm glad I didn't have to pay for Ryan especially since Caroline was fine! I got the list for ENT's and will be making the call Monday morning-Tubes here we come!! Maybe he will, listen better, talk quieter, walk straighter, and not have as many melts downs(because he feels better) here's to wishing RIGHT!!

Cooking with Katie

When we went to Katie's house the other day she had a fun lunch planed for the kids-French Bread Pizza that they built themselves. Ryan didn't quite understand but Delaney had a great time. Katie is such a great mom and inspires me everyday to be a better mom! Delaney was very serious about building her pizza!

Coupons, Coupons, Coupons

I got all these groceries for...drum roll please...$ 26.00 a savings of $61.00!! That is AMAZING!!

I got 7 large boxes of cereal, 3 gallons of milk, 5 bags of goldfish, 3 jars of bbq sauce, 2 loaves of bread, 1 box of pop tarts, 2 boxes of butter, 2 boxes of trail mix, 1 bag of marshmallow's(have to do something with all those Rice Krispies), 1 bottle of balsamic vinegar, and 1 red onion!!! The last two items I just needed for dinner tommorrow-no deal, but everything else was on sale or I had a coupon for!! Yippee for me!!

Backyard Blast

What a fun day in the backyard--Look at that big boy swinging all by himself--I feel so bad that we don't have a yard, Ryan LOVES to play outside and was out there almost all day when we were at Katies house the other day. Delaney had a good time being in charge, she buckled and pushed Ryan in the swing, it was cute to watch them enteract and really get along and have fun together!

I'm so glad that Katie live close and that these cousins get to know eachother, especially since we never had the opportunity growing up.

She is getting bigger and things are getting better!!

My little girl is growing up!! It's really crazy to see how fast she is growing! Things are getting better(cross my fingers, knock on wood, etc...) I have figured out that she needs to stay awake for a 4 hour stretch during the evening so she sleeps well through the night. If she goes to sleep around 10pm she wakes up about 3 and then 6ish, so that's not to bad so long as she goes right back to sleep and doesn't stay awake for an hour or so. As for the reflux things are looking up and I think the medication is really starting to help. I notice a difference with in minutes of giving her the medication, so she isn't screaming as much, but still wants me to hold her ALL day, if I put her down she is happy for a minute and then demands to be held.

Funny story just the other day Jared was saying that he hates Nascar and doesn't understand why anyone would go and watch a bunch of cars go around the track! Well today Jared got a phone call today from a friend saying he had extra tickets to the race, guess who suddenly had an interest in Nascar...

Jared went to "The Samsung 500 at Texas Motor Speedway" yesterday and brought Ryan back this lovely shirt!! This picture is for Scott who is always taking pictures of Nascar stuff-love you Scotty!

Life

Well life has been very busy and stressful!! The statement that "no two are alike" is SO true, I thought Ryan was such a good baby because I was a good mom and that any following children would be just as good if I did the same thing......WRONG! Caroline has really given me a run for my money and my patience!! My previous posts about her being a easy baby and good sleeper were lies...well not lies, she just hadn't come to life yet!!! First she has her days and nights messed up, which is really difficult, especially when she wants to be awake from 12am to 4am-not my idea of a good time. Ryan was sleeping through the night at 3 weeks, was on a schedule, and didn't wake in the middle of the night until he was about 14 months with an ear infection. It's been so hard not to compare or get frustrated with my sweet little girl. The second problem is she has reflux and screams most of the day!! We started her on medication yesterday and already it seems to help, the doctor said we should see really results in about two weeks!! YIPPEE!! Last of all she wants to be held ALL day, and nobody else will do! That is so stressful, because Jared tries but she is not having it, hopefully all of this will change!!

On a happy note Ryan is really starting to love his sister and wants to see her first thing in the morning and give her a kiss, he tends to leave her alone but he will randomly come up to her through out the day to give her a kiss and then go on with what ever he is doing. He is handling the fact that I need to hold her ALL the time pretty well and doesn't seem to bothered by that fact, which is such a blessing.

Oh but on a side note Ryan did learn how to climb out of his crib today!! Lovely just what I need! I heard him crying and realize he was standing at his door. I think he hurt/scared himself enough today that I hope he wont attempt it again for a while. I know that is a big wish, but here's to dreaming right!!
