First Movie

The other day we took Ryan to the IMAX Omni Theater in Fort Worth, the movie was about Dinasours and Ryan loved it. He did pretty good and sat still for the whole 45 minutes!

why do kids love laundry and folded clothes?? Everytime I have a pile of folded clothes Ryan has the urge to come over and knock it all over!!

We have not fallen off the face of the earth yet...

Here's a little update from the last month or so... We have been able to spend alot of time with family, which is just the best! Here's Ryan watching to Christmas Parade in downtown Dallas on Gramps shoulders. It was a very cold morning, so we were all bundled up ready to see the parade!! Luckly Ryan knows when it is cold and will leave his hat and gloves on until the moment he sees the car or house, then all bets are off!!

Last week we had one day of GOURGOUS mixed in with days of 30 degrees, radom I know but that's what happens when you live in Texas!! It was great so I called my mom and we headed to the Zoo with all the grandkids(Matt was having surgery, so Mimi had the girls for the day!)

What a BEAUTIFUL day it was!! It always shocks me when the zoo is empty on such a wonderful day-maybe people just don't have the same enthusiasum for the zoo that I do-first of all since I have a pass it a free day, the only thing I pay for is to feed the birds(his favorite, no fear at all, Ryan sees animals which he loves and he leaves tired ready for a nap!! I think on this day he was asleep before I even started the car!! It's a total win win situation!!

This is my new hair do!! I love it, stacked in the back and dark!!

Um, it might be easier from down here since they don't jump on the stick!! Since it had been so cold I'm sure the birds were starving!! We were attacked the moment we walked in the door!! Ryan loved it!!

Thanksgiving at Katie's was great!! Katie made all the kids these cute shirts, Ryans said Turkey, with a Turkey on it!!

Okay, now I'm going really private

Well my computer crashed this week, so I'm going really private-unless I get a computer fairy god mother in the next couple of days!!  I feel lost with the world without my computer!! I guess I'll manage until the day comes that I can replace my best friend with a new one!!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, and has a lot to be Thankful for!!  I'm so thankful for my family, and my wonderful husband who works hard for his family, my happy boy who(most days) is a joy to be around, and this new baby that is growing and developing, waiting to join our family.  Dinner was great and it was so nice to be around family after so many years of doing it on our own!!  

I can't resist....

So the other day Katie was watching Ryan for me(he had just gotten over the nasty bug)while I was out of town for a craft show. Katelyn called me and asked if I had received any pictures on my phone yet, um no, I thought she was sending me pictures of a shirt she made for Ryan for Thanksgiving, she told me she wouldn't talk to me until I had seen the pictures, and promptly hung up. I wasn't able to get to a computer for a little while and Katie called me twice in that time, I just thought she was very excited. Well I got home and got on the computer and this is what I found.....

If you can't figure out what that it coming out from behind my son, as my sister said,"It's SHIT!!" She said that NO other word could be used to describe the awful mess that Ryan was totally content to sit in. And if only the computer had smell-o-vision, you couldn't imagine something so horrible smelling coming out of a amazingly happy baby!!! I thought he was over this part of being sick, I guess I was WRONG!! I'm so sorry Katie, I know you didn't sign up for that, and did I mention I think that in the few hours he was there he took three baths and had two more diapers like that!!! I owe my sister HUGE!!

I'm huge!!!

Okay so with Ryan I didn't show FOREVER, not the case with this sweet little girl rapidly growing inside of me!! So I haven't really gained much but this belly is HUGE. Yesterday I was at Target and this lady(who was not all there, and I'm not just saying that to make myself feel better) started to talk to me about Ryan, typical chit chat, then she asked me if I was having another one.....uh yeah.....then she realized I was pregnant and proceeded to tell me how huge I was and that if I wasn't careful I was going to have a 10 pound baby!! Thank you lady with no bra on and a twitch, I really appreciate hearing that I'm as big as a house and I still have 3 months to go....yippee!!

Drum roll please...the mom of the year award goes to...

Yes that is my 16 month old drinking Starbucks!! I'm such a good mom!! Okay so it's not a Chi or cappuccino so everyone can wipe their scowled "BAD MOM" look off their faces , it's just a little chocolate milk, the leftovers of my Salted Carmel Hot Chocolate(my new favorite drink ever!), the girl offered me the leftovers with a little extra cold milk and Ryan loved every sip, in fact I don't think he took his mouth off the straw, and just kept saying, "mmm!" after every gulp! This boy defiantly has a sweet tooth, like his uncle Scotty!!

Spa Day

I have had a bunch of stuff going on (sick baby) and forgot to make an entry about my glorious Spa Day!! My friend Shelia is going to be having a baby in December, I made her a crib set for her new bundle of joy(which is going to be a boy), I made the crib set as a gift and didn't expect ANYTHING in return. Well Shelia went over the top and gave me a gift certificate for a spa day at a fancy boutique hotel in downtown Dallas called Hotel ZaZa. It is decorated in Moulin Rouge style, and way out of my norm!! I loved every minute of it-I had a 80, yes you read that right 80 minute massage, an hour pedicure and then a manicure!! It was a wonderful afternoon, especially after moving and unpacking!! Thanks to Katie and my mom for watching Ryan for the afternoon. My mom was dragged into it because I forgot to take my carseat out of the car before I left, so Katie was stuck at home but Delaney needed to be picked up at preschool!! It was a wonderful day and I'm so thankful for Shelia and her very generous gift!!

Karma is a B****!!!!

The other day I was saying to someone that Ryan has never woken up in the middle of the night-well I take it all back!!! My poor baby has the stomach bug!! He started throwing up last night at around 10pm(ALL over his crib, including his bummer that I just got back from the dry cleaner--ugh!!!) and then about every half hour until 6am, I think we slept a total of an hour. The throwing up slowed down around 10 am and then came the other end!!! OH MY GOSH, I have thought he has had diarrhea before, but NOTHING comes close to this stuff today!! Keep your fingers crossed that he will get a good nights sleep tonight- I need it!!

What I'm thankful for...

1. That I can be a stay at home mom to take care of my baby when he is sick and only wants mom.

2. Going to sacrament meeting and have Ryan sit quietly!!

3. A mom that answer the phone no matter what time of day.

4. Friends that are so willing to help.

5. DVR so I can watch the shows I missed while Ryan is awake and being a tornado!

These are just a few things that I have been thank for lately, some are silly but still I'm grateful for all these things!! More things are too come!

Give Thanks

Yeah, I feel like I'm back in the real world now!! Now if I could just find my camera battery charger!!! It's some where in the ONLY box Jared packed, now if I could just find that one box!

We are all moved in and just have two boxes to unpack and need to find a place for all the left over STUFF!! Ryan has been sick with a tempature of 103.8 for the last 24 hours(101 with motrin) so I've trying to keep his temp down and keep him happy!

Movers!!

Jared and I moved to a bottom floor apartment(same complex, same floor plan) so that I didn't have to carry two babies up three flights of stairs!! It was quite the project and we have a ton of CRAP!!! So on Friday the two movers showed up early(which I was very happy about) the guy that was driving the truck had a little bit of trouble parking and I thought, "Oh no this might be a long day!!" Then he got out of the truck, the mover only had ONE arm! "Oh great they sent two movers and only one has two working arms, you have got to be kidding me! How can a man with one arm really move me out of a third floor apartment, really they sent a guy with one arm!!!" I was totally exasperated, and nervous that we would be moving ALL DAY! Well they got to working, and man, the guy with one arm could really move!! He lifted my queen size mattress all by himself and carried it down the three flights of stairs all by himself. I was totally impressed, and asked him if people doubted him ability to move when he pulled up with one arm? He just said that he learned to adapted and needed to make money. Later on he told me and my dad that he also got bit by a Brown Recluse spider and was in the hospital for 11 months...I don't think he lost the arm from the spider bite but it was the craziest thing I had seen in along time!

I just bought gas for...drum roll PLEASE 

$1.95 a gallon!!!  

I'm sure it will go back up after the election is all over but $1.95, I wish my tank wasn't half full so I could fill up on the gas they are practically giving away!

So stinking cute!!

Okay so this was one of my favorite days so far being a mom!! Ryan loved trick or treating and was very excited about the whole idea!! We went with Jareds family and I think a good time was had by all. Ryan rode on Jareds shoulders the whole time and in between each house he would wiggle back and forth yelling "GO GO GO DAD GO GO!" and then once he got in walking range of the new front door he would start yelling, "DOWN, DOWN, DOWN!" and then waddle his cute little self up the the front door signing and saying EZ, EZ(please) and then signing thank you once he got some candy. Once he got the candy he would then try and walk into EVERY house! I think almost every house we went to who ever answered the door would make the person who didn't answer come see the cute skunk!! I really got my monies worth out of his costume, I think it was worth every penny I spent.... a whole $2.50. I got it at
The Childrens Place Outlet last year after Halloween, and have just been dying for Halloween ever since!

Mimi watched Ryan over night last week while I packed and had movers come and move my entire apartment(that's another story in itself!)  Mimi and Katie got together and took all the kids to the Dallas Arboretum- I heard that it was more like herding cats and not quite as easy as it may have seemed!!

Katie had a fun Halloween Party at the park before Halloween and all the kids came dressed up, and had a blast!  Shalene came with me and we had a nice time!

I didn't think is was going to be so Stinking hot the day before Halloween but Ryan was sweaty, he was wearing a brand new black tee shirt, and from his sweat it looked like he had hairy armpits.
